Financial Literacy
ShareSpark
A family-oriented browser game that introduces simplified ideas about companies, markets, and decision-making through a fictional stock market.
- Ages Approximately ages 6–8 (creator claim)
- Family game

What kids actually do
Children join a family session (using a code from the host) and participate in a fictional market game with invented companies and changing share values.
They make choices in the context of the game’s rules and see how those choices play out in the simulation.
We verified the public landing and setup flow; we have not independently completed a full multi-player game session.
What kids can learn
These are learning areas the project is designed to support—not guaranteed outcomes.
- Basic financial concepts in a playful, fictional setting
- Decision-making when outcomes change over time
- Understanding simplified markets and value—not real investing
- Family discussion and shared reasoning
Why it's interesting
Money and markets can feel abstract to young children. ShareSpark frames those topics as a shared family activity—useful as a conversation starter rather than a lesson in real-world investing.
What parents should know
Designed for shared family participation; plan to play together rather than handing a device to a child alone. This is a simplified simulation, not real investing, and we cannot confirm it improves financial literacy outcomes. A family code is used to join a session—treat that code like a private room password and share it only with people you trust.
